Ironfoot by KaelNgu
Ironfoot
Happy new year everyone!! Here's my first painting in 2015, an image inspired by The Hobbit III. Personally I really love the armor designs especially among the dwarfs, despite being pretty disappointed in the film. Oh well, hope you guys have a good year ahead!

Hey guys! Another update before saying goodbye to year 2014. Another year has passed just like that, so many things happened and I had no idea how fast those stuff come and go. Time flies by in a blink of an eye and I certainly have no regret of what I did and encounter this year. As usual, I'm learning a lot of stuff from my full time job thanks to my super inspiring art lead Hoi Mun, ex colleague the famous Johnson Ting (creator of Neo Japan), messed up colleague Sao Keong, the guy who loves to paint sexy chicks and also last but not least the stylized guy Kudaman, who just joined the team! You guys should check them out if you havent, they are my daily motivation who constantly make me wanna push myself to another level.

I've also decided to stop doing freelance after working hours, reason is very simple, it's time to try and develop something for myself and also to create more original artworks. Before this, all I'm doing is just draw and paint stuff without a certain direction or deep thoughts, and therefore my works ended up being too varied in style and so I thought maybe I should focus on finding the right feel everytime I paint something. Which I then created another portfolio site in Tumblr, that only collects paintings that I personally really like and resembles me in my artistic journey. In it you guys will notice a few pieces of Muddled, this is my first personal project which focus on comic development and it's gonna be dark. Inspiration came after visiting Venice, an interesting city of maze...ideas kept pouring when I walked in it so lets not let it go to waste. I'm gonna take time and develop it so in coming time I will release pieces of Muddled and hope the final comic will see the light of the day soon.

Alright I think that's all I wanted to share, Enjoy the last few pieces until we move on to the next 365 days! Merry Christmas and happy new year guys!

Breaking Away
Teaser for Muddled, my upcoming personal short comic. This one serves more as a conceptual piece actually, as I'm trying out an idea that's been hanging around in my head all these while. It's actually a scene in the story!

Yes a lot of people tend to quit when they think they "failed", which is actually part of the process of getting good. No one is naturally good in anything to begin with, without practice or whatsoever. They think they failed is because it's hard to climb over that wall and explore something different outside of their zone. That said, how can you be good if you dont climb over that wall of yours? So those who hold on and keep going usually succeeds, some slow and some fast depending on how well you understand yourself. While those that gave up will spread the word that it's impossible to get good because they "tried" and failed. Which is really sad!

And what you're doing is exactly what I experienced before last time, and even now! You will no doubt notice your improvement in no time, so just keep doing it and continue to love what you do! :)

Heheh I'm a Malaysian Chinese, not English based so I afraid if my grammar is not perfect. And thank you too by the way! :D

Hey Eren, so sorry for the late reply, I'm absence to catch up on all my works that I've missed during my trip. I'm now back to Malaysia and back to work! Anyway I've been to London, Nottingham, Paris, Milan, Florence, Venice and Cinque Terre! I particularly enjoyed all of them, especially them cathedrals! Those are mindblowing and I'm jaw dropping all the way hahah. I also visited the Lourve, the one place that I most looking forward to in this trip. Lourve are just heavenly beautiful, kinda teaches me some lessons and I have to work 200 times harder than before now :D

How about you, have you been to Malaysia, or any countries in Asia?
